Loan My Coins / For Terminal Bitcoiners

You've stacked Bitcoin. Now aim to outperform it.

You've reached Terminal Bitcoin. You've accumulated with conviction, and selling your stack isn't part of the plan. Borrow bitcoin against bitcoin, deploy it into your chosen strategy, and aim to grow your wealth measured in BTC, not dollars.

The documented illustration at a glance

95%

BTC received per BTC transferred, on the documented illustration: receive 0.95 BTC for every 1 BTC transferred.

5%

Economic cost on the documented illustration: 0.05 BTC per 1 BTC transferred, retained under the arrangement.

BTC → BTC

Matched denomination. The amount owed does not rise or fall with the dollar price, so there is no conventional LTV liquidation trigger.

Documented illustration, per 1 BTC. Borrowing amplifies investment risk, and the BTC repayment obligation remains regardless of investment performance.

The opportunity

When HODLing isn't the end of the strategy.

You've accumulated bitcoin for years. You've moved savings, earnings and perhaps other assets into BTC. Your conviction hasn't changed, but your ability to accumulate meaningfully more bitcoin from new income may have.

You’ve reached Terminal Bitcoin

Terminal Bitcoin is that moment of conviction without liquidity: you have already allocated with conviction, and selling is not the plan. For most bitcoiners, the answer is to keep holding.

Another possibility

For investors who believe they can identify opportunities that outperform bitcoin, there is another possibility: use the bitcoin you already hold to pursue a strategy designed to return more bitcoin than it costs. Loan My Coins introduces a bitcoin-to-bitcoin financing structure for precisely that purpose. It does not promise outperformance; outperformance is what the investor is seeking.

The structure

Borrow BTC. Repay BTC. No conventional LTV liquidation trigger.

Bitcoin for fiat

  • Debt in dollars, against a bitcoin position.
  • Bitcoin falls, the position’s dollar value falls with it, and loan-to-value rises.
  • At a contractual threshold, additional funds may be demanded, then liquidation into the fall.

Bitcoin for bitcoin

  • You transfer bitcoin, receive bitcoin, and repay bitcoin: 0.95 BTC owed on 1 BTC transferred, at any dollar price.
  • A falling dollar price does not mechanically increase the bitcoin owed.
  • There is no conventional fiat LTV mechanism to breach. The risks that remain are different, and they are real.

95%

BTC received: 0.95 BTC for every 1 BTC transferred, on the documented illustration.

5%

Economic cost: the remaining 0.05 BTC per BTC transferred, retained under the arrangement.

12 months

The documented repurchase date is one year. Extensions follow the signed agreement with the provider, where available.

BTC → BTC

Matched denomination: what you receive and what you owe are both bitcoin.

The structure removes a particular liquidation mechanism. It does not eliminate the obligation to repay bitcoin, investment losses, counterparty exposure, or the consequences of default under the signed agreement.

Three ways to pursue BTC outperformance

These are illustrative choices borrowers make, not recommendations. The common theme is deliberate BTC outperformance rather than generic access to cash, and each has a test it must pass.

01

Bitcoin treasury equities

Some investors believe selected Bitcoin treasury companies can deliver returns exceeding bitcoin itself. Borrowed BTC could be converted and deployed into those equities without first selling the bitcoin you mean to keep.

The test: Does the equity outperform BTC by enough to cover the financing cost, expenses and applicable taxes?

02

Relative-value opportunities

An investor may identify an asset that looks undervalued relative to bitcoin and expect that relationship to reverse. The objective is not merely to make money in fiat terms; it is to increase purchasing power measured in BTC.

The test: Can the opportunity deliver positive net BTC performance over the arrangement's actual timeframe?

03

Business and private investment opportunities

Experienced investors and business owners may have access to opportunities unavailable through public markets. This structure can provide capital for those opportunities while the obligation stays denominated in bitcoin.

The test: Is there a credible, appropriately timed path to generate the BTC required for repurchase, and a worthwhile surplus?

The benchmark

The only benchmark that matters is Bitcoin.

An investment can rise in dollar terms and still underperform bitcoin. The question is whether your strategy leaves you with more BTC after repaying what you owe and accounting for costs. Model the opportunity; measure the outcome in bitcoin.

Simply holding

Illustrative model on the documented illustration (1 BTC transferred, 0.95 BTC received, 0.95 BTC paid at repurchase, 0.95 BTC returned, 0.05 BTC economic cost). It assumes full repayment, that the deployed value can be realised in BTC at repurchase, and excludes additional expenses, spreads and taxes. A return measured in BTC is not a dollar price forecast. Losses and default produce different outcomes; the original bitcoin is not returned untouched.

The proceeds would cover the repurchase obligation, with no surplus from the deployment. The original economic cost remains, so this still leaves you behind simply holding.

  • Scenario layer: the value of the deployed proceeds at repurchase is a hypothetical figure you supply, in BTC. It is not a forecast. For spending, enter only what would remain unconsumed.
  • The scenario assumes the full hypothetical value can be converted to BTC at repurchase, and excludes taxes, spreads, transaction costs, and any other obligations.
  • Documented illustration, per 1 BTC: 1 BTC transferred, 0.95 BTC received, 0.95 BTC paid at repurchase, 0.95 BTC returned, 0.05 BTC economic cost. Scaled from the amount entered.
  • The original bitcoin is not returned untouched. The economic cost is retained under the arrangement.
  • Whether these figures apply to a particular agreement is set by the provider's current product schedule and the signed agreement.
  • Illustrative only. Not an offer of credit, not a forecast, and not a tax conclusion.
  • The obligation at repurchase is in bitcoin. If the borrowed bitcoin has been spent, sold, or invested, it must still be obtained and paid.
  • Extensions, early exit, non-payment, and provider failure follow the signed agreement with the provider, not this illustration.
Who is behind Loan My Coins

Built by the founders of The Bitcoin Adviser

Loan My Coins was launched in 2025 from Australia by the founders of The Bitcoin Adviser, as a separate introduction business: it introduces prospective borrowers to an independent loan provider and does not lend, take custody, or approve loans.

Peter Dunworth

Peter has guided clients in bitcoin since 2016. A founding partner of The Bitcoin Adviser, he works on estate planning, generational wealth transfer, and helping families hold bitcoin for the long term.

Andy Pattinson

Andy runs operations at The Bitcoin Adviser and created BitcoinSuper.io, a guide to holding bitcoin in Australian self-managed super funds. He turns complex requirements into documented runbooks, so introductions stay organised from the first enquiry.

More about Loan My Coins
The downside

The opportunity is BTC outperformance. The risk is BTC underperformance.

Borrowing bitcoin doesn't guarantee that you'll finish with more bitcoin. Your investment must generate sufficient BTC-denominated returns to cover the economic cost, any applicable expenses and taxes, and the full repayment obligation. An investment may fall, become illiquid, or fail to outperform bitcoin. Counterparty and contract risks remain.

If you don’t have a credible investment thesis and a repayment strategy, simply holding may be the better decision. Loan My Coins exists for a defined investment strategy, not to persuade every bitcoin holder to borrow.

Who this is for

Terminal Bitcoiners

You have reached the limit of accumulation from income. You have stacked with conviction, and the next step is capital efficiency, not more of the same saving.

Strategic investors

You have a clear strategy you believe can outperform bitcoin, and you want to deploy borrowed BTC into it rather than borrow to hold.

Bitcoin-only holders

You prefer bitcoin-native structures and want to avoid a debt denominated in fiat against a bitcoin position.

Who this isn’t for

Short-term leverage seekers

This is designed for a defined term and a considered strategy, not day trading or quick speculation.

Borrowing to hold

Paying the economic cost to hold borrowed bitcoin, with no deployment strategy, adds cost with no upside.

Yield seekers

This is not a yield product. Nothing here earns interest or rewards on your bitcoin.

No repayment strategy

If there is no credible plan to hold or obtain the bitcoin owed at repurchase, borrowing adds risk you do not need.

The next step

Have a strategy you believe can outperform Bitcoin?

You've done the work to accumulate your stack. If you've identified an opportunity to generate returns measured in more bitcoin, it's worth understanding whether bitcoin-to-bitcoin financing makes economic sense. Model the numbers, understand the obligations, and request a private introduction when you're ready.

Loan My Coins introduces eligible borrowers to an independent loan provider, who is responsible for loan agreements and lending arrangements.
